Pull-ups vs tabbed briefs

• Pull-ups are put on standing, like regular underwear, and removed by tearing the side seams. They suit anyone who is mobile and dressing independently.
• Tabbed briefs can be fitted and changed while lying down without removing clothing over the legs. They are the format used for bedbound care and for anyone whose changes are done by a caregiver. The tabs also allow the fit to be adjusted, which helps on body shapes that fall between sizes.

Neither format is inherently more absorbent than the other. Capacity is a property of the individual product, so compare the stated absorbency on each item rather than assuming the brief holds more.

Day and night are different problems

Daytime wear is about discretion and being able to change every few hours. Overnight is about a single product lasting eight hours or more, so it needs both higher capacity and side leak guards, because liquid spreads sideways when you are lying down rather than pooling in the middle.

If you are close on capacity, add a booster pad rather than sizing up. Because boosters have no plastic backing, so once saturated the liquid flows through into the garment below and you replace only the booster.

How do I find the right size?

Measure around the widest part of your waist and hips, then match that measurement to the inch range shown on the product page. Size ranges are listed per product rather than as a single universal chart, because they differ between our product lines - a Large in one line is not the same measurement as a Large in another. Always read the inch range on the item itself.

What is the difference between an adult diaper and incontinence underwear?

They describe the same category. Incontinence underwear, protective underwear and adult pull-up all refer to the pull-on format; adult diaper is often used loosely for any of them, and sometimes specifically for the tabbed brief.

How do I dispose of used products discreetly?

Roll the used product inward, fasten it closed with its own tapes or side seams, and place it in a sealed bag. Because disposal bags are opaque and odor-proof for this purpose. Disposable bladder protection is not flushable and should go in household waste.

What if my skin gets irritated?

Irritation usually comes from moisture sitting against skin rather than from the product itself. Change at the first sign of saturation, clean with a no-rinse cleanser or wipe rather than soap and water alone, and apply a zinc-oxide barrier cream before redressing. Because products are made without parabens, fragrance, lotion, chlorine or latex to reduce that risk.
